Glenn Schmitz, is the Chief Information Security & Privacy Officer for the Virginia State Corporation Commission and a recognized cybersecurity and technology governance executive with more than 25 years of experience in cybersecurity, privacy, governance, risk management, and digital transformation. Previously serving as CISO for the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, he has led security strategy and operations across complex public sector and healthcare environments while building high-performing teams and advancing risk-based governance programs. Glenn is also Chair of the Board for Tech for Troops, founder of Terra Sol, LLC, and a frequent speaker on AI governance, cyber risk management, and emerging technologies including quantum computing and agentic AI. As Conference Chair, he brings a collaborative leadership style focused on connecting executives, government leaders, and innovators to address today's evolving technology and cybersecurity challenges.
