How to adapt your business continuity approach to a new risk landscape
There is a new risk landscape with cyber, pandemics and also extreme weather to consider, especially in France.
For many years, the risks to business continuity which a company was exposed grew slowly, and regular updates of BCPs (Business Continuity Plans) made it possible to maintain a satisfactory level of protection.
Today, the variety and impact of the risks facing businesses can be a cause for concern with the nature of existing risks (more destructive, more frequent, more extensive) and the appearance of emerging risks. The emerging risks are not always new, but can be undetected by the usual checks and plans businesses undertake (the current COVID pandemic is a good example of this).
During this virtual boardroom session we’ll look at research on the emerging risk landscape, and discuss how businesses can change the way they plan to help mitigate against future risks. Other areas delegates can discuss include :
- How they have overcome recent business disruption and ensured their business is always operational for its customers
- In what ways delegates feel the increase in extreme weather and cyber-attacks may affect their business
- The challenges of gaining the trust of stakeholders within an organisation to help business continuity planning
