Creating a Well-governed, Self-service Culture around Data

A Evening Dinner in association with Alation

Wednesday 29th March 2023

Gleacher Centre, University of Chicago Booth School of Business

6:30pm - 9:30pm

Creating a Well-governed, Self-service Culture around Data

It feels like most organizations today understand building a data driven culture is important, but it can be hard to measure and thus often hard to prioritize/allocate spend to it as an initiative.

In this evening dining event, we will be covering the following questions:

  • How do you champion data literacy awareness and craft a clear case for change?
  • How do you partner with other executive stakeholders to align a data literacy program and collectively create a data-driven culture?

  • What challenges are you facing? How are you overcoming them?

  • What are the main drivers for data governance in your organization?

  • Where is your organization in its Data Governance journey? How would you rate your maturity?

  • Data Governance has a couple of hefty strikes against it at the outset- people like the way they do things now, and data governance has a bad rap for creating obstacles. How have you tackled change management and “marketing” for your DG program?

  • How do you measure the success of a governance program?
